Anita was born and raised in South Africa. She now lives in Texas, she is a devoted wife and mother who enjoys every second of her blessed God-given life.
Creating has been part of her life since she can remember. "I paint that which moves me"
Angels, Wedding dresses, Ballet tutus, and Nature. Anita creates original paintings for the Home Décor industry, designers, and private customers.
Her family provides balance in her life and they keep her humble. They have always been her inspiration to be a better person and without them, her art would only be a dream.
"I am drawn to French décor and lifestyle and the muted romantic colors inspire me to create artwork with similar colors and tones. My passion is to create paintings with flow and emotion and to keep the eye wondering and the mind guessing. Each canvas ends up acquiring it’s own soul".
"I invite you to explore my art with more than your eyes and fantasize about the world around you".
I use many different mediums, such as acrylics, oils, molding/gel mediums, watercolors, plaster, resin and clay. Working in only one medium restricts my creativity but by allowing many different mediums into my creations, I feel free to manifest my individual style. These mediums allow me to bring out my very personal feelings and thoughts onto canvas. Every creation is a piece of me, a piece of my soul, that I share with the art collector, when it leaves the studio to go to its new rightful owner, a part of me goes with the creation.
I am a firm believer in God and His saving grace. All that He created, speaks to me and moves me. How can I not express my gratefulness and humbleness toward Him? Doing this through the talent that He gave me, I honor Him.
Many soft and muted colors will always be seen in my creations and this is proof of peace and tranquility in my life.
"I believe that we are surrounded and protected by God's angels. Angels are all around us. When angels visit us, we do not hear the rustle of wings, nor do we feel their feathery touch, but we know of their presence…"
Admit it, flowers makes everyone happy, they are so unique and delicate. Flowers symbolizes love, joy, birth, death, strength, happiness, peace, friendship, and the list goes on and on. We all need flowers in our lives, the best way to keep them forever, is on a canvas. A flower painting is a gift that will never die or fade away.
"Growing up in South Africa, I experienced nature in the all its glory and beauty. Sunsets, sunrises, the bush, the wild animals and the ocean have been burned into my memory. When I am inspired to create a landscape or contemporary piece, I imagine myself standing on top of a hill of a deserted piece of land or sinking my feet into the white sandy beaches of the ocean".
"I am in love with the artistry of dance, ballet and the 18th century fashion. While I am painting a dress, I can feel myself dancing, I feel freedom, romance and simultaneously experience grace and peace".
